Reminder: All sections will be meeting at our Avening Green Site after the Easter break

Beavers and Cubs first meeting dates will be in the week commencing 20/04/26

Please can parents ensure that FULL UNIFORM be worn for every meeting hot or cold!
All young people should bring with them, to EVERY meeting a waterproof coat, suitable shoes (no crocs!) and a water bottle. And all items should be named.

A REMINDER for all events, the permission forms and payments should be returned within 2 weeks of the event otherwise your young person will not be allowed to attend. We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright

Scouting teaches young people about the world they live in and encourages them to play a more active part in it, giving them “Skills for Life”. Through Scouting they try challenge themselves, develop leadership skills carry out new activities, often outdoors, and learn about themselves and others plus have lots of fun.

Welcome to 1st Woodend Scout Group

1st Woodend Scout Group was formed in May 1975 when the Charfield and Cromhall Scout Groups merged together. Our Headquarters are in Cromhall but are very lucky to have a summer venue that we use at Avening Green. Cromhall is a small, rural village just off junction 14 of the M5 between Gloucester and Bristol.  The Group draws its membership from a wide geographical area around the Charfield and Cromhall villages.

The majority of our members live either in Cromhall or Charfield, however many of our members travel to us from the numerous surrounding hamlets and villages.
